Visa Information

Dear foreign participants,

This is to remind you that this year China has a much stricter visa application process. In order to make sure that you can get your visa to enter China, you need to provide the following documents to your local Chinese Embassy/Consulate:

  1. An invitation letter written by the GridNets 2008 general co-chair.
  2. A visa requisition issued by the municipal level government.
  3. Hotel reservation.

In order to obtain the Visa and receive the invitation letter, please fill the following form and send it along with a one-page copy of your passport and your regular mail address to liusha*ohua at bupt.edu.cn (remove the *) before the 15th of September as the application for your Visa Notice Form issued by the government takes at least two weeks. After the 15th of September, we suggest that you apply for the tourism visa to China.

When filling the form, please note that your affilliation is required, as is your position (e.g. professor, PhD student, etc.) instead of the title (such as Mr., Ms. etc.). Finally, remember to include your passport number. The form can be downloaded here:
